Chicken leg bone broth

When you buy cuts of chicken still on the bone, you end up with leftovers you can turn into amazing nutritious broth you can use as a base for soup or have on its own by adding some herbs and spices. Ginger and chilli are great for ramping up your metabolism.

Ingredients
1 roast chicken leg bone (leftovers)
3 peppercorns
1 bay leaf
2 garlic cloves (chopped)
1.5 lt filtered water
Optional extras:
ginger
lemongrass
chilli
Method
Throw everything into a saucepan.
Simmer on low for 1 hour.
Drain and serve in a mug (250 ml).
Store remaining in a jar in the fridge or freezer.
Salt to taste and add any extras like sliced ginger.
