Ginger tea

Ginger tea is a great digestive. Ginger is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, pain reliever and can lower blood sugar.

In Ayurveda and Chinese medicine ginger is used to ‘raise digestive fire’. This would be perfect to have first thing if you struggle with low appetite in the mornings.

Use dried and powdered ginger for a more powerful effect. If using fresh ginger peel and slice.

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of fresh ginger (remove skin)

  • 1 t powdered ginger

  • boiling water


Method

  1. Peel and slice ginger root and add to a mug. For a spicier and warmer version use powdered ginger.

  2. Cover with boiled water.

  3. Keep topping up with fresh hot water.
