Stewed apple

Serves - 6 (120g serving)

This recipe is packed full of gut healing apple pectin, and antimicrobial cinnamon. Make up a batch to use during the week.

It's good to take a tablespoon of this everyday, either as a dessert, breakfast, or mid day snack. Perfect served hot with bio yoghurt (non dairy) and crushed nuts.

Ingredients

  • 3 cooking apples

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1 t cinnamon

  • 1 T raisons (optional)


Method

  1. Core and chop apple into chunks with skin on.

  2. Add to a saucepan with a cinnamon stick.

  3. Half fill the pan with filtered water and simmer till smooth.

  4. Add ground cinnamon and transfer to a bowl or storage pot.
