Banana peel & cinnamon tea

This super simple tea tastes delicious and is a great source of potassium, magnesium, Vitamin C, B6 and B12. All the nutritional benefits of banana without the carbs. I freeze the flesh to use in smoothies.

Cinnamon is a fantastic warming spice with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and antimicrobial properties.

Ingredients

  • banana peel

  • cinnamon stick

  • boiled water


Method

  1. Put banana peel and cinnamon stick in a teapot or pyrex jug and cover with freshly boiled water.

  2. Allow to steep for a while then pour into a mug and enjoy.

  3. Keep topping up the jug with fresh hot water.
