Steak with garlic mushrooms

Steak and tarragon go beautifully together. This is a very meaty dish, full of full on textures and flavours.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Steak (fillet/sirloin/ribeye)

  • 1 t avocado oil

  • cracked black pepper

  • 200 g mushrooms

  • 1 onion

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 2 T chopped tarragon

  • 50 g butter

  • 20 g watercress


Method

  1. Remove steak from fridge and allow to come to room temperature.

  2. Finely dice onion, chop mushrooms, mince garlic and finely chop tarragon.

  3. Melt some butter in a pan, add onion and chopped mushrooms and cook till coloured.

  4. Add garlic, tarragon and more butter if needed and cook for 10 more minutes.

  5. Oil and pepper steak on both sides, and sear on a hot pan for 3-6 minutes each side.

  6. Serve steak with garlic mushrooms and watercress.
