Basil pesto

Serves - 2

Making your own pesto with garlic, basil, pine nuts, parmesan and olive oil is really simple. Perfect with courgetti, as a dressing on salads or sauce with lamb or chicken dishes.

Garlic is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and can improve cardiovascular health. Basil also contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds as well as magnesium, which can help to improve blood flow. Olive oil fights inflammation and helps protect your blood cholesterol from oxidation.
