Berry soup

This dish is inspired by the Scandinavians. Sweden and Finland both have a version of this dish which is served either hot or cold.

We will go with a hot version to help keep our digestive fire burning. Ive added cinnamon but you can also add cardamon or allspice.

Dark berries are especially great for blood flow and liver health. They have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and fibre with is great for gut health.

Ingredients

  • 50 g blueberries

  • 50 g blackberries

  • 50 g goji berries

  • 1 t cinnamon

  • 200 ml water


Method

  1. Heat berries in a small pan on a low heat.

  2. Add the water and cinnamon.

  3. Serve warm in a mug with a spoon.
